HOLY SCHNIZTEL

We have had SCHNIZTEL for three nights in a row. I have had enough of that. I had not had frys for months (maybe a year) and now I have had them about 5 days in a row. We are now in Switzerland. It is better than I thought. We saw two castles yesterday that were awesom. The one was used to model the Disneyland Castle. Every day I try to download pictures but I never can do it. So maybe the next time. If it stops raining we will go up the mountain and do some skiing or something.

Munich was very good

The first night we walked the city for about two hours. The history here is very interesting. Most of the city has been rebuilt since the war. The most important city landmarks were rebuilt using the plans that were found in the basements, etc. So even though they are new they look old.

Yesterday, we went to Dachua. I can not begin to explain what we saw, so I won't try here. It was shocking and sobering at the same time.

We also went to the Olympic Park, it is in a very flat area, but there are hills all around the park. They were made from the rubble of the bombed out city that was hauled out there after the war.

Today we went shopping in Rothenburg. There are Clocks galore...

We leave here in the morning to who knows where.

Salzburg is very nice

Salzburg is a little bit cooler than Italy. They usually get 300 days of rain a year and we have not even seen a cloud. The lake wolfgangsee was beautiful and nice. The bus ran out of gas on the way up, so that was kind of interesting. After we got it started again the air conditioner quit working and we almost died in Austria. Getting to the internet is a pain and this machine is locked up so I can't do any pictures this time. Hopefully we can get pictures downloaded in Munich. We are checking email if you want to send it to jdc1nc@earthlink.net

Venice is awesome

This place is an incredible place with alot of water everywhere. It is wonderful to be near the Adriatic Sea and to see all the boats evcn if we can not use our own. The hotel overlooks the sea and we look over the bay into the city. Everything here is at least a 1,000 years old!

We are headed to the beach for a little swim. Tonight we do the gondolas thru the city canals. Life is really tough!

We are on to Austria tomorrow. I am going to try to download a picture or two, hopefully they will work.

See ya all in two weeks.

Florence here we are

We were on the bus all day. The Italia country side is pretty and full of farms. It is much greener than I thought it would be. Everyone here has been very good to us, but it costs a small fortune to do anything. (an ice cream cone is $3 or $4.00) It has been hot but not unbearable, and pretty sunny. Our room here in Florence is wood floors, 12 ft high ceilings and bare light bulbs and the elevator will hold two people at a time. But its better than sleeping in a tent!

Tomorrow we head for pizza.

I hope everything is going well for everyone. drop us an email or post a comment if you want. I have been able to get to the emails without any problems.

We made it to Rome!

We are in Rome now and we are at a internet cafe at 10pm. We need to get a life. We have seen all the very old sites. They were very cool. We are on to Florence tomorrow. So far so good. My legs are killing me!
